Creating a well-rounded backlink profile is challenging. If you want to diversify the links to your site, signing up for a niche edits service is a step in the right direction.
Niche edit links (also called curated links or link insertions) are a powerful link-building strategy that involves having links to your site edited into existing blog posts on independently operated websites that are relevant to your niche.
Unlike guest posting which requires you to write entirely new articles, edits to an existing page or blog post often only require the addition of one or two sentences — done with finesse of course.
We make sure that the additional content fits in the article, is contextually relevant, and adds value to the original content.
Your links are published on websites that have already established trust, authority, and relevance with Google. They are years if not decades old, already indexed and receiving organic traffic.
As a result, they’re often discovered by Googlebot quickly, meaning you’ll start reaping the benefits of your newly acquired link equity sooner rather than later.
Benefits of using curated links
If you’re new to SEO and link-building, it’s worth mentioning that niche edits are a quick and easy way to get started.
Niche edits have some obvious advantages over guest posts and other forms of content-based backlink-building; such as…
Niche edits are cheaper than other content-driven link-building strategies. There are three key factors that make niche edit links affordable:
- Because niche edits eliminate the need to write new long-form content, there’s more money to be saved.
- Thanks to less content work, it’s faster to provide the service, as a result this also drives cost down.
- They generally pack a bigger punch — guest posts often don’t acquire links after being published, whereas we aim to place niche edits on page that have a good amount of juice.
- The ROI is higher — cheaper than guest posts with more juice, if any type of link is going to move the needle, it’s these.
Referral traffic from organic traffic
We’ll only get you links from established sites that are credible in the eyes of search engines. This means that you’re ticking two boxes at once:
- the page linking to you is indexed in Google, meaning it gets organic search traffic,
- referrals — the people who found that page via organic search often click the link through to your website, so you also get referral traffic.
If there’s ever a signal of backlink quality you can send to Google, this is it.
Quality guest posts need to slot into an editor’s publishing calendar, which can take months.
Niche edits are a great way of earning high-quality backlinks from credible sources, in a short time. Most of our placements are live within 30 days of your order.
As they are on existing pages of websites that already have traffic and links, they are discovered by search engine crawlers more quickly too.
Your backlinks will start doing their job sooner — meaning quicker results.
Dial in your link profile with niche edits
At Dialed Labs, helping other businesses grow is at the core of what we do.
We’ve been building and indexing websites in search engines since AltaVista and Yahoo — that’s well over two decades of experience.
We’ve kept a close eye on how the industry is evolving, and have learned a lot of important lessons along the way.
Here’s what you get when you buy niche edits from us…
Since we’ve worked with hundreds of websites over time, we have a large network to get started.
If we don’t already know prominent websites in your niche, you can rest assured that we’ll find the right placements for you.
Our current partners can likely connect us with someone who can help, but if not, we’ll keep searching until we can find a suitable option.
Most of the websites we discover to contact and partner with come from Google searches. Think about this, do you really want links from sites that aren’t in Google?
Our team understands the importance of subject matter, and the owner or editor of the site understands your niche well.
As a result, your links will be placed in a way that fits well within the existing content.
The last thing you want to do is make edits that stick out like a sore thumb — our team is well aware of this and will go out of their way to keep things contextually relevant.
Aged, indexed, trafficked sites only
We’re picky when it comes to finding credible websites. To find sites that are worthy of your links, we put the shortlisted options through a vetting process.
You’ll get links on high-quality websites that have stood the test of time.
While we aim for sites with a high DA (domain authority) or DR (domain rating), it’s important to remember that none of these metrics are from Google. Some of our greatest wins come from highly relevant sites with a healthy amount of traffic but low DA/DR scores. That’s still a win in our book.
Zero duplication — guaranteed
Don’t want a link from a site that already linked to you? No stress, neither do we. We’ve been down this road before and worked with clients that have over 10 domains redirected to their main domain.
By default, we have a process to prevent any duplicate link placements, but if we ever slip up we’ll replace or refund it, no questions asked.
No wack hats
Officially, Google discourages many forms of link-building, and it most certainly frowns upon (and penalizes) the use of dishonest ‘black hat’ networks that inject links into hacked sites without the owners’ knowledge.
The only way to stay in the safe zone is to obtain links in a legitimate way, by contacting website owners and reaching an agreement with the person responsible for the site.
Here’s how it works
Our process involves everything needed to ensure that we deliver high-quality backlinks to our clients. Here’s what the steps look like…
You tell us what to focus on
After placing an order you’ll be given a short questionnaire where you can specify the URLs on your site that you want to boost, and any specific keywords you’re targeting.
If you don’t have anything in mind, no trouble, we’ll do the research ourselves and blend both the anchors and pages from month to month.
Getting an in-depth understanding of what we’re up against is the next action item in our niche edits process.
Analyzing your competitors gives us insights into what kind of backlinks they’re getting, and where they are coming from.
Doing this helps us learn the right course of action for your website to outrank the competition.
If we don’t already have the right websites in our database, we conduct a thorough search in order to find the most appropriate, relevant prospects for your needs.
Our team goes through the shortlist to find the right matches. When found, we reach out to the site owners in order to get your link placed in their content.
This is rarely a 100% success rate, so we need to repeat this step a few times over.
When the site owner prefers that we make it easy for them, a writer from our team will draft up additional content and shows the site owner where the link will best suit their blog post or page.
Something to note here is we can only draft and ‘strongly suggest’ the changes, the contact at that site has control over the final placement.
Yes, sometimes this can mean an underwhelming result, but this is part of the game.
Delivery and reporting
Our typical turnaround time is 30 days. Often we can make it happen in 21, and sometimes it can take up to 33 days, but 99% of the time we can get it done in less than 30.
Once your order has been completed, we provide you with the URLs of these links. This data can be viewed from your client dashboard.

Are niche edits black hat?
What determines whether a particular link is white-hat or black-hat is the method used to obtain the link — not the link itself.
Google officially doesn’t encourage any form of link-building but without allowing this, the internet doesn’t function as intended, so it really is a matter of opinion. Maybe we could call these ‘very light gray hat’.
What’s better — guest posts or niche edits?
Guest posts are great but they have their negatives — they take time to write unless you’re paying someone to do it, they take time to get indexed, and most importantly, finding credible website owners who are actually willing to post new content for you is generally very labor-intensive.
Securing niche edit links is relatively cheaper and it yields quicker results. You don’t have to write new content, and you get to benefit from the aged, authoritative content.
With guest posts, however, you do get more control over keyword selection within the title, and other fields like the meta description, headings, and image alt texts.
In a perfect world, you’d use both guest posts and niche edits in your SEO campaign.
Are niche edits the same as broken link-building?
While the end result from both these link-building strategies is the same, the two have a different process and solve a different set of problems.
Niche edits involve adding new content and a new link to an existing blog post whereas broken link-building is a tactic used to capitalize on broken links by replacing them with functional links that fit the same description and relevance.
Broken links pose a great opportunity for you to achieve a backlink because there’s something in it for the site owner too — nobody wants broken links, they’re an epidemic. The only catch here is that the linking opportunity may not always be relevant.
In some scenarios, however, we can use a broken link to start a conversation with a site owner who needs to give a page some attention, and in that process, we can get them to mention your site.
Who writes the additional content? Can we suggest revisions?
Either someone on our content team, the website’s editor or owner will craft the additional content.
Revisions aren’t within the scope of our service. If something is obviously wrong we’ll do our best to get it resolved, but if not, we’ll replace it with a new link.
It’s important to remember that we’re working with third parties and we can’t control their sites, so this can come with unintended consequences.
Is there a maximum order limit?
No, there is no limit on how many backlinks you can order, however, we do encourage consistency in your campaigns — don’t order 100 links in July and none in August as this is an obvious signal to Google that something unnatural is going on.
Please get in touch with us to learn more about agency/bulk pricing.
What happens if you can’t find any relevant sites?
Though very unlikely, in the event that we cannot find a relevant site within your niche, we’ll instantly notify you regarding the same and provide a full refund.
It’s worth mentioning that we’ve never received an order that we couldn’t fulfill, though some niches can cause a short delay.
Do you service clients in gambling, nicotine products, loans, and so on?
Yes, we do, provided your business model is legal. Please note that it is challenging to build link-building relationships within these niches. Quality is even more variable than usual so you will need to keep an open mind.
If your business falls under this category, we suggest that you get in touch with us to discuss an appropriate course of action.
How long will the link placements last?
Typically, our link placements remain intact and
dofollow for years because they add value to the blog. But keep in mind that they are going on real websites, and real websites change.
Some loss over time is expected. The article may be rewritten and your link is removed, or it could be merged with another one. Maybe the site’s theme is changed and all external links are automatically attributed with a
All of these scenarios are natural. In general, we expect around 85% of your links to remain live for 2 years and beyond.
If your link is removed within 3 months of your order, we’ll either get it back online or replace it for you at no cost to you, without any questions asked, and zero stress.
